Wiring it might not fix it. There is probably a bad diode trio in the alternator.. Have that tested before going forward. When they fail they take wiring with them. A fuse link installed in the wiring where the system attaches to the starter motor solenoid that is rated for 5% more than the alternator output (look up the specs) will prevent major damage. Jim
