I would just leave it but whats left of the gear is binding up on gear that drives it it sounds like the trans. is coming apart. I did find a used one that is like new. I got an incredible deal on it, 25.00 and also got a good deal on a couple of the sliding gears that are like new and figure I would replace them while I was in there. I have everything ready to go. Ive got the top cover off and the front supported and made an attachment to hook the draw bar to the receiver hitch on my truck to ease the rear end apart from the front end. Were you able to slide the sliding gear shaft out the front or did you have to take everything out through the top to do it?
