I was looking for the "correct" or authentic blue when I was prettying up my #8 plow. Tried several colors of blue and none looked like I remembered from yrs ago. Then a friend suggested I see "an older guy" at a NAPA store in Baraboo, WI. (I'm 73 and he was older than me.)
The "older guy" pulled a big paint chart book off the shelf, blew off the dust, turned a few pages and sais "This is what you want, it's the original Harvester Blue. Years ago he worked for an IH dealership.
He said he could make the exact match for it. He mixed the blue for me and it is perfect in my mind and I am very happy with it. It's NAPA #53 3736A.
I tried Ford blue...not the same, too light and bright.
