I'm getting ready to do this job on my 49 H. I bought the steering shaft with worm gear, the round gear for the top of the bolster shaft, and the Ujoint from yesterdays tractor store, the upper bolster rebuild kit is available from Carter & Gruenewald, just go to http://www.cngco.com/Search.cfm and search for part number 368097R91.
As for how much of a job it is... I couldn't tell ya yet, but it doesn't look too bad really. I'll find out in the next couple weeks when I get a chance to rebuild mine.
