Your pump might be a little worn. All my Hs drop some after warming up. 40 is more than adequate at operating speeds. Glad you found the problem. When you have time to kill, you might want to pull the valve cover and clean as much gunk out of there as possible. Next time you do an oil change and have the filter off, remove the rocker arm inspection plate (you will probably need a new cork gasket BTW) and clean those chambers as best you can. Those are the two primary areas for gunk buildup in the H.
