This is an acceptable solution and should extend the life of the tractor for quite some time if it is not used in an extensive farming/nursery operation. I suggest that the engine be torn down to do an inframe overhaul and then start posting you findings or questions. Members of this forum will assist in overcoming any problems you encounter. If you elect to do this, prior to the teardown you will need to do some fact finding. Buy a cheap compresssion gauge and test each cylinder, then pump a few shots of oil in each cylinder and repeat the compression test. What is the oil pressure at idle when the tractor is at its hottest? Record all findings. Let us know you decision.
