My Farmall 450 clutch has just started not disengaging completely when I step on the clutch pedal, thus making the gears grind. I"ve readjusted the clutch and TA according to the manual with no help. Seems like if I push the pedal as far as it will go, there is a little binding feeling in the pedal and that is the worst for gear grinding - if I let the pedal come back just a little, the binding feeling seems better, and it is a little easier to get it in gear, but not normal. A retired mechanic friend thinks it is a problem with the pressure plate. Does this sound like a good place to look. TA seems to work fine, so we"re thinking it is a clutch problem rather than a TA problem. Any ideas/help would be appreciated.
