Dave, yes, when he turned the start switch nothing happened. First he thought it was clutch safety switch, shorted safety switch out, still same problem. He could jump the across the two large bolts, battery cable to starter lug and tractor would start. Does not fit the usual solenoid failure pattern, usually you get a click and no starter spin.
