I am trying real hard to remember the specifics, but it has faded. My brother took care of it while I was away so the memory wasn't real strong anyways. Seems like it was in the 0.1" range as they were pretty bad. I'll try to find out but hopefully somebody will pop in a good typical number. The wear gets bad enough that all that extra room causes the expander to travel too far and the balls will jam in the V channel locking the brake. Not only annoying, but dangerous. They work fine now.
