Thanks folks for your help and answers. The clutch has no play in it, it grinds going into gear and one set of forks is out of position compared to the others. I have a cousin who is about 4 miles from where the tractor is who has "split" these before - even has the stands and a fork lift to hold it up - so that part should be fairly easy.
Is there a way I can tell if the clutch is an 11" or 12" before I take it apart so I can have the parts prior to tearing it apart? Would the tractor S/N be a reference to the clutch diameter?
