cub loboy's starting mf'd date??

I want to find a lo=boy for my mowing chores, I don't want a yellow one, what year did the 1'st lowboy start with,with round grill??

Have found several Super A's, what would be the chance of rotating the rear housings and cutting the front spindles to make a mowing machine?? There are 2 S A's and 1 100 here locally that I can get real reasonable , the 100 can be bought for $200 and it runs [ a little weak on # 3 but the tires hold air,, 2 miles from home..
