electrical question re 6volt system

ok.. i have a farmall loboy 6volt. everything wired correctly with positive ground. now I wanted to buy this tow along sprayer that has an electrical pump.. you are supposed to connect the pump directly to the battery. now my question is .. this pump probably works with 12 volts (negative ground).. if i connect it to my 6 volt battery that has a positive ground.. will something short circuit.. i do not want to blow up my tractor nor the sprayer pump. help.. asap
