Super-C leaky hydraulic unit

I have a super-c which has hydraulics for "cultivator" arms . . I seem to have a leaky unit/reservoir . . although it does not appear to come from around the pistons themselves . . but from the bottom plate of the unit . . is this a "normal" thing? . . do I need to just remove the whole unit and tighten the bolts on the bottom plate or is there an additive that will "swell" the seals . . . just wondering if this is common and what the possible solutions are. The leaky situation is not bad . . but I want to add a 3pt hitch and would like to resolve this before the addition.
