I think your best bet is a belly mower...there are Woods, Dancos, IH and probably some others on the used market. A pull type might be available, but the PTO on a Cub turns counter-clockwise and runs at the engine speed, so a regular pull type won't work. There are reducers available for the Cub that makes the PTO output standard and has an output shaft in the center of the tractor, but these are relatively expensive and not readily available. My opinion is that a good used belly mower is THE way to go on a Cub...other options may be available, but I still think the Belly mower is the best...I use a $300 used Woods 59" the cuts GREAT. New ones are very (like $1300-$1500) pricey...start looking cause the grass is growin.
