Don't know whether this would work but maybe worth a try. Loosen the bolts on the plumbing block to the pump and drain some of the oil from the lines with the view that maybe there is some air trapped in the lines. Personally, I do not see how this could be but its worth a try. Make sure you have the reservoir topped off when you do this so you do not introduce more air into the system.
