Took the top of the tranny off my SC to fix bad gear oil leak due to non-existent gasket, found already broken bolt, see left of photo, and noticed the screws for the left bull gear retaining plate are backed out a little. I can obviously tighten them back up, but have you seen this before, just wondering if they"ll loosen right back up again. I"m guessing it"s taken them years to get to this point. I doubt any sort of loctite would survive in a gear oil bath. Case-IH parts diagram just says self locking fine thread bolts, so don't think there is supposed to be any lock washers on them.
