Kaye, my W4 has a hydraulic pump-drum (EE 530950) bolted to the gearbox PTO where usually the belt-drum goes. The drum has a driver-accessible shift-handle and a broken shaft/missing-handle in front of drum; the ser.no. is punched into the top, the drum is made of aluminum, also has to check-oil bolts (?, true or false?)and ONE only hose connector with valve going into an overlong hose to the double-acting cylinder below the tractor-nose, hooked to a 7' snowplow. Only one hose at the bottom of the cylinder activates the up/down motion of the plow, the top connection is plugged by a nut with cotter-pin, presumably to let out air on intake. Question: What is that front-lever assembly on the pump for, the one that looks like the driver-operated one but - in my case - is broken off and missing the shift. How much hyraulic fluid should be in the pump-housing? Is the pump designed to handle double-action? Thanks in advance to everyone.
