Problem: Rear pushrod has broken 3 times. Motor runs fine for hours until it happens again. The valves are set right (12). With valve cover off and engine running everything looks, sounds and feels right. Lifter appears normal by flashlight.
Recent history: I have replaced the rocker shaft assembly due to failure of rear mounting stud. Tractor has not been right since a guy installed my rebuilt injector pump and got the timing way off. It has been corrected since then.
Questions: Any ideas? Would I be able to see cam by removing the crank case cover on the side of the block below the exhaust manifold? What is exact torque of rocker shaft studs?
Please help. I"m getting tired of chasing my tail!
