tractor vet since the IH tractors and combines need at least 93 octane gas would a 1966, 1600 Loadstar with a 345 gas engine need the same 93 octane gas. I cannot find the owners manual so I have no idea what it says. The truck ran rough under a load,been sitting for a few years because of that problem. We plan on using it this harvest. The local mechanic wants to put a whole new distributor in it. Since reading all your post I tend to think it may be the low octane gas causing the problem. Thanks for your response in advance.
