The tach hookup is below the distributor and the distributor is dry. Thats why I'm wondering if there is supposed to be a swedge that fits on the end of the cable - it looks like there is one in the pics of new cables. I'm wondering if possibly there was just gunk holding it closed with the old oil. Does anyone know the part number for the unit that feeds the tach? I can't find it in the parts diagrams on caseih.com
