We have a W 450 that, that happens to a couple times a year. We just take out the three bolts that hold the shif lever in, take a big screw driver or bar and align up the slides in neutral and put the shif lever back on. Works fine for another year but you have to learn how to shift it with a worn out shifter fork. Probably best to build up the fork or replace it but we never have. RON
