It cant be a 1985 tractor the last year they were built is 1979. So if it is a very late model tractor it has a saftey start switch on the clutch pedal. They have been known to cause trouble so if you have spark and gas check the the wirring under the pedal and see if thats the problem. I just unplug both ends and put a peace of wire in there to connect the two together and that bypases the saftey switch. Just an idea ,Erik.
