Just a little update, the vinegar was the trick. The rings came out with some help from punch and some patience. I did ding up the piston grove a couple of time, can I smooth this down and make sure the new rings seat and move correctly?
I also honed the cylinder today, went pretty good. All the corrosion was removed and the liners are nice and clean now. I have not measured them but I have no reason to believe they would be out as they were on the tight side prior to the honing.
My last question, is there an easy way to post photos on this site. I have tried several times and I just can't get it right.
