The use of an appropriate drill might be done prior to moving the housing (after jacking it up and getting it flat) The style I am suggesting uses a standard drill and tap for standard bolt sizes, not special Helicoil or off size taps. These are both easier and less expensive to find. Usually the tap drill size will be very close to the clearance hole size. This would allow the housing to guide your drill to acceptable alignment if done off hand. If the recommended tap drill is bigger than the casting hole, it will be necessary to remove the housing and use at least a drill jig to make a perpendicular tap drill hole. Using a drill jig to align the tap perpendicular is also a good idea. Do not drill into the dif housing more than the original depth. If you do it could leak, or a too long bolt could be put in causing interference issues. Jim
