Special Engine Paint?

The fellow who is going to spray my tractor (39-A)owns a body shop. He wants to use IH 2150 available from Central Tractor. My goal is to have a very pretty work tractor. He confused me when he mentioned using special red "engine paint." (Spray the engine first, let it dry, cover it, then spray the tractor with 2150). I always thought the IH 2150 was used on the whole tractor (except exhaust, distributer & magnito caps) Any advise would be appreciated. Also, would you add a hardener? Thanks. Lynn
