Good luck finding a good switch. However, the bigggest problem with the switch on the M is the way it is mounted. Most of the time, stomping on the lever or pin that operates the switch results in something other than a straight push on the button and therefore causes poor contact internally and damage to the switch. I have done several different modifications on them to get them to push straight but most are less than perfect. I personally like the switch mounted up on the steering post like on most of the H tractors. This works well if converted to 12 volts but with a 6 volt system it requires a lot of pressure to get a solid contact so does not work as well. Then the other option is magnetic switch operated by a push button but most of them cannot handle a heavy 6 volt current load or at least not for very long. So, back to square one.
