First off , they are a bugger to over come this problem. IH offered a Zenith carb like used on the 606 that has a vacuum operated accelerator pump that does a good job. But, the thing you need to do first is make sure your heat riser on the manifold if working properly. It needs to operate freely and have a good spring on it. The counter weight should be straight up and down when cold and stay that way until warmed up and under a load. There is a valve inside manifold to direct exhaust gas around intake internally to warm it up. Many times the manifold has to be split in two with them four bolts and those passages cleaned out. Then one can rebuild the heat riser to work properly also. Not a fun job but necessary.
