This fill cap is on top of the hood and the lower end enters the engine through the valve cover. The fill cap above the hood usually has the word OIL on the top surface. The crankcase oil capacity is listed as 5 US quarts. The correct fill procedure it to open the lower petcock on the side of the oil pan and fill until oil starts to drip and then close that petcock and open the upper petcock and continue to add more oil (about a pint more) until it is at that level. Then close the top petcock also and you are good to go. There are many more maintenance items on a Super C and an investment in an owners manual would be very prudent in maintaining your tractor correctly. Hope this helps, Hal.
