On this topic, the latest thing I've saw Friday at a tractor show in south central Indiana is that parts vendors at the flea market part of the show have now taken to putting Deere decals on items that I'm relatively sure that Deere never produced and calling them "rare" and asking big bucks for them. I saw a supposed John Deere wooden handled garden hoe and a garden rake--- they had JD decals on them. The hoe and the rake were of similar age and in good shape, but the guy was asking $150 of the pair, claiming that these were rare items. At another show last fall, I saw an old galvanized 2 gallon garden sprayer that had a Deere decal on it was being offered at $300 due to it's rarity. Maybe Deere did make this stuff, but the yellow and black decals didn't look nearly as old or worn as the items themselves.
