I don"t see how a bolt could work since this pin has to slide thru the upper middle lever (for 2nd & 3rd gear) and the head wouldn"t be able to slide thru. The lever just has a slot for the pin to slide thru. The pin can only drop out when in 4th or 5th gear and when in 1st or reverse. When in 2nd or 3rd gear, the pin is totally trapped inside the lever.
