I mentioned before that I have a half turn of play in the steering on my 1939 A. Today the steering box comes off.
How do I get the steering shaft out of the box? The manual says it comes out through the front. I have the end nut off, but all I can see is the ball bearing race.
How do I get the lower section off the steering box? I have all the bolts out, but is it just stuck?
And when I finally get in there, how do I know what needs fixing? I have never handled a steering problem before?
And if someone wants to be my mentor on this project, let me know.
