The needle and seat is buried deep inside the carburetor and requires complete removal and disassembly to access. I seriously doubt the problem lies in the carb. More likely you have something floating in the gas tank, or you just need to clean the sediment bowl.
Here's another thought, and it has happened to most of us at one point or another, but, how much gas is in the tank??
