As I have said many times on this forum, I have used the Delco C87 in all my older tractors for many years with no fouling.
But aside from what plug you decide on, John T has an excellent point about not running over rich mixture. Get the tractor up to good high operating temp then set the mixture as recommended.
Also keep the electronic connections, "Bright and Tight", for best firing of the plugs.
