In order to get instant penetration I hang a 150 lb wheel weight on the rear of the plow. Penetration is nearly instantaneous. My SA plow has a plow chief bottom and even with a sharp point it is slow to penetrate. If you have tall rear tires (such as 12.4s) the added height will effect your penetration and draft depth capability. If the plow pulls left or right adjust the cam bolt which changes the camber of the plow. Tightening the springs will also effect pull left / right as well as penetration.
