i havent looked for the marks anytime, but maybe put your thumb in the plug hole and turn the engine over till you feel it blowing compression out. then use a small piece of rubber hose or something to feel the piston coming up to tdc. once you got it there take a look around at the dc marks on the flywheel and see if you can spot the pointer, as it should be there in that area.you might just be missing it.
