I have a couple of questions for the MD folks. 1) I have the injectors out at present and 2 of the pre-combustion chambers came out also. The holes in them are off to one side, not directly in the center. What direction are these to be installed in? I can�t seem to find it in the service manual any where. If I recall correctly, someone stated that these holes should be positioned so that they spray into the dish of the piston. Am I correct? I don�t have the head off at this time but by looking at pictures, that dish in the piston is on the injection pump side of the engine, correct? If this is correct then the other 2 pre-chambers that stayed in are not correct also.
2) Would it be possible for someone to either post or email some pictures of the starting control rod from the handle at the operators platform to the cross shaft bracket and the under tank bracket also. Mine is bent up and I would like to see what a correct set up looks like so I can set mine up correctly. Thanks for your time.
