Yes there is a special tool for this but like the other gent said he uses a screwdriver ground down and i have made many out of a cotter pin and flattened the rounded side and made the end thinner / The wire ends are delco 56 series ends and you can order them thru a good parts store or electrical supply house that deals in automotive wire. Now doing the crimp can be a challenge with out the special crimping tool . I bought the tool to crimp because i did a lot of rewire on the I H tractors and it just made my job go faster and looked more factory . You can even get the connectors new . I get my wiring supply's from Terminal Supply as they carry everything .
