Fenders were an option when a farmer ordered an H or M in the late '40s and early '50s. I have a 1950 H with fenders that Dad bought new in Iowa.
I have a copy of the order form (Effective March 20, 1950) that dealers used for ordering tractors; fenders cost $15.75 a pair.
Many farmers decided that was too much so did not order them. Times were tough back then because the economy was still struggling after WWII.
