I'm looking for a functional replacement tach for a 62 or 63 IH 404 tractor. I sent mine to a rebuilder who mailed it back with a nice note that said it was too far gone. I've got photos that i can email or if someone can tell me how to post them I'd love to!
Also, anybody got any ideas about the exhaust system on this tractor. The guy I bought it from had something welded up. The inside of the exhaust manifold is threaded to accept a pipe that appears to clamp to a vertical muffler, but there is also a "upside down J" shaped attachment that bolts on to the manifold that routes the exhaust down. Which one is right?
