Joe - That's a relatively straight forward task. It can be readily accomplished without splitting the tractor.
Hardest part is dropping the belly pump. It's somewhat awkward and top-heavy - have an assistant help you(!)

A couple tips:
- Replace both input shaft (upper) and belly pump shaft (lower) tranny seals while the belly pump is out. (If the lower seal is leaking it's virtually assured the upper seal is worn out too).
- The replacement seals will be only about 1/2 the thickness of the original (leather) seals. This is NOT a problem! Simply press the new seals in flush with the retainer face - or 1/8" -1/4" farther if the shaft is worn where the seal lip rides - and it'll be good.
