Did you plastigage the bearings when you put it together? If you pull the pan to fix the pump you had better check them. Maybe the shaft was turned & you put in std bearings. The cam runs in the block (no bearings) & there is a hole from the mains to oil it. I don't think there is a plug behind the cam gear. The solid lifters don't need an oil gallery.
