If you soak it in carb cleaner for a few days it will usually disolve important stuff as well as gunk. Are you sure there aren't kits available? I got one for my MD, but that is a slightly different motor. I think I got the stuff I needed from the dealer. I don't think I ended up getting a kit. I am 99% OEM has a kit for the MD bc I thought why wasn't that around five years ago! In the end, I am lazy. I would just blast some carb cleaner through it and you might get lucky.
