I've never really looked into the Nos. on the Aus. built tractors Greg, but first chance I get, I will. I know our SAWD6 is a 1956, our AW7 1958, A554 1962 and 564 1968. I'll even check the 786 and see if the casting codes are similiar. Always found casting codes can cause some amount of confusion and even conflict. We picked up a farmall M, Serial No.BFK5431 X3A, which means it should be a 1939 model. Problem is all the casting codes end in B. If it was an AM, the codes might make more sense, but the BFK Serial No prefix and X3A Suffix suggests it is an imported tractor. Beats me mate.Regards, Redfan.
