No, just take off the complete 24" rim and tire. The 26" rim and tire will then fit on the cast wheel and attach just like the 24" rim did.The eight clamps that hold the 24" rim fit and hold the 26" rim the same way. Just be sure the 26" rim is a single bead drop center rim. Some 26" rims have attached lug eyes. This type might or might not work depending on the spacing of the lug eyes. However the original type uses the same clamps that attach the 24" rim.
