I brought my 2-14 home in the 8' bed of my Ram. It was close, but I was able to leave the hitch on it and strap it up tight to the back end of the plow to be able to put the tailgate up.
3-bottom might be pushin' it. What I'm thinkin' particularly is that the extra length might push the wheels far enough to the back that you can't get there. The wheels (cutoffs) on mine were wider than the gap of the tailgate (too wide to roll directly into the bed) it took some wigglin' and clever forklift drivin' to get it on.
