There are appropriately valued items in ads and I have bought tractors here, but there are also a lot of speculators and they will distort your perception of the tractors worth. Auction results are the best determination of value but even then you have to drop the excessively high and low numbers and then average the rest. You also need to be very honest with yourself when comparing tractors that have sold with what you have in terms of condition and parts/labor required. Search e-bay for completed sales and attend a few auctions in your area. Compare these with the ads and see what the results are. Look at the big bucks items on your tractor (tires for example) and ses how it stacks up against what has actually sold in your region.
