Has anyone pulled the H4 rotor magnet out of the magneto body core laminations without installing a keeper as suggested in the Blue Ribbon service manual? I would like to pull the rotor and repack the bearings with Bendix Magneto grease and would like to know if the permanent magnet will suffer any lose of magnet strength if left out of the core for any extended time period? Any experience with this operation would be greatly appreciated.
