Not sure what you're getting at here or why you didn't post in the existing thread but anyway...
I was simply offering to help the gentleman who started this topic out by offering to duplicate the part in question in my foundry IF it was made of cast aluminum. I never suggested I would even charge for this, just trying to be helpful.
I wasn't sure of the make of the emblem pictured in the previous thread as I have only seen these made of stamped metal and painted.
Not sure if you intended to have "attitude" in your post or not. I'm guessing that you did but If you did not I apologize for interpreting it that way.
In answer to your questions:
I can make patterns.
I can cast gray cast iron #20 or #30 but I do not very often as it is very hard on the refractory lining of the furnace. More often I work with aluminum and brass and occasionally babbit.
I do not typically use sand cores.
My size limit is anything up to 8" x 12" x 4" in size.
I do not do foundry work for hire as I work in an educational environment. My work involves the teaching of metalworking and metal casting to my students. We have a set of patterns to practice on for beginners and the advanced students are required to make and cast from their own patterns or to duplicate an existing part (typically something of theirs or someone they know that needs repaired).
I do not currently have any pictures of my students' work.

I said that I would be interested, and was wondering what his next step was. (Although I was talking under my breath, since I thought of this some years ago) My friend, Arlyn Lamb of Lakeville, Minnesota was sincere in his miss
