It is OK to remove the inspection plate between the Liftall and the transmission. If a seal is leaking pretty good and the liftall drive coupling has slung oil everywhere, you might not isolate the source until you wipe everything down then watch for it. There are 3 seals in that area that can be your problem. The Liftall pump/reservoir should be removed from the housing to replace any of them anyway. They all can be replaced without splitting the tractor at the transmission. Once you have found the source of the leak, do an archive search to find suggestions on replacing that particular seal.
