There were definitely different variations on the lugs, depending on the supplier and the rim width.
Regardless of the rim width, the inner side of the lug should be approximately one inch away from the center of the rim. Thus, the rim can be mounted in 4 distinct positions, each 2 inches apart.
The most likely rims too be confused with A/B rims are ones from a Cub. Cub rims look very similar. But the inner side of the lug is essentially at the center of the rim. Thus there are only 3 distinct positions.
